Spirits & Spirits Tour (Tues, Jun 1 or Sun, Jun 6 – Beginning @ 6:00pm) - $34 The Spirits and Spirits Tour is a tour that explores the grim and ghastly deeds of the old French Quarter, and then we will wash it all down with a demonstration and history on two of New Orleans' cocktails or spirits and how they are made.
First, it's time to experience the secret and sinister events that occurred a very long time ago. Yes, ghosts and spirits still haunt the legendary Vieux Carre. You'll visit sights of documented hauntings, ghosts, spirits, and see the French Quarter residences in which unbelievable events took place.
Next, to demonstrate two of our most famous spirits, we take you to one of the city's oldest restaurants, Tujague's, which has been in existence before New Orleans even bore its name. The guest book of htis famous spot include such notables as Cole Porter, Harrison Ford, Dan Akroyd, Ty Cobb, and Rockefeller. Here you will learn how to make a Sazarac and Pimm's Cup cocktails as well as try a sample of each. We will then visit the oldest bar in the country and reputedly haunted space, Jean Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop, to finish off the tour. For those that still want more spirits, cocktails are available for purchase and stories are available as well.

Volunteers
As a service organization, what better way to serve that to help our own organization? It is a large amount of work to put on a national convention. We can always use help. There are two ways to sign up to help. The first is through the registration process. On RegOnline, there is an option to check that you will be a volunteer. It will then give you an option to check when you would be available to work. If you aren’t sure, you can check this later. The other option is to send an email. You can advise your area of interest at that time or let us know what your availability is. We appreciate any help!
